This film documents the beginnings of our Order, sowing the seeds for QB in France in 1918, the 1920 AFC Armistice Dinner, Dick Blythe (501) and Harry Bruno (502) meeting outside the defunct AFC clubhouse, the dinners at Marta’s, and our first Governors' Conference in 1939. Learn about the American Flying Club’s rise and fall at the hands of Henry Woodhouse – both a keewee and a Modoc. Why do we have no big shots or head tables? Why are there no dues or political affiliations? This 32-minute movie introduces our founding members, explains our traditions, and describes how QB evolved into the organization we know today. Highly recommend for both "newly-winged" QBs and "Old Timers" too! Excellent overview of not only the founding of the Quiet Birdmen, but also our roots going back to the Great War (including lots of information on the American Flying Club (AFC), Keewee and Modock)! Tons of never before published photos, vintage film and related newspaper articles. It provides answers to many questions regarding our roots and traditions! A nice Hangar addition to Initiation Meetings and/or Holiday Dinner nights.
